Spinning® Marathon at Eco Fitness coming March 7, 2009

On March 8th, 2008 Eco Fitness hosted a Spinning® Marathon at Eco Fitness of Mt. Pleasant.  Our goal was to raise $8,000.  By the end of the day we realized that we had reached that goal and then some.  When everything was counted over $40,000 was raised.  This was enough to allow us to expand the camp for one more week and add some much needed staff so that we could safely serve more children.  100% of the proceeds was donated to Pattison's Academy.  Eco Fitness donated the registration fee, the staffing, the space and got donations for food, drinks, etc.  Past campers from Pattison's Academy participated and led the riders for the four hours of Spinning®.  A special thanks goes to Luciana Vincion, Jodi Bateman Forney, Alice Keeney (go to the Links section of her website to view the fabulous photos from that incredible day), and the many others who spent so many hours organizing, putting video and music together, getting food and water donations.  Eco Fitness went above and beyond with donating the registration fees, washing the towels, and moving all those bikes when we realized we needed more.

Plans are to have the next Spinning® Marathon on March 7th, 2009 so keep checking back with us for more details.
