Our third year of our summer camp was a huge success.  We had a wonderful time with the 44 amazing children and their wonderful families.  It was 6 weeks of fun, education, therapy, and exploration and we have more pictures than we can ever show you. 

2009 promises to be just as exciting, fun and therapeutic as the previous years.

Location:  For 2008, we had two sessions in 2 locations.  We are still in the planning phase for 2009, but are considering the same locations.

 Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church  &  Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville

Dates:       Dates are subject to facility availability.  To give you an idea of what we have had in the past, 2008 operated for the following sessions for the following dates:

5 weeks from June 29 - July 31

   

Hours:      Camp will be conducted from Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Transportation:   Families provide transportation to and from camp.  We provide transportation for the field trips.

Criteria:      Children ages 1-15 years old who have multiple and\or severe disabilities (FYI, we are considering providing a camp session to older children...if you are interested, PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION):  Physical impairments, visual, hearing, cognitive impairments.  We cannot accept children whose primary diagnosis is autism or behavioral disorders because we will not have the staffing to provided the constant one on one supervision that many of these children deserve.

Cost:           $150 Weekly.    Costs include snacks, field trips, crafts and therapy services (as long as therapists are able to bill Medicaid or private insurance.)  HOWEVER, WE HAVE NEVER TURNED A CHILD AWAY BECAUSE OF A FAMILY’S INABILITY TO PAY.  IF A CHILD IS ACCEPTED, WE WILL WORK WITH FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO FIND FUNDING!
