Pattison's Academy - Helping children with severe and multiple disabilities through education, therapy and interaction.

Financial Support

The children we serve have many complex and diverse needs: Staff to child ratios must be low for safety. Specialized buses with wheelchair lifts are needed for transportation. Positioning and seating equipment is needed for each child. Augmentative communication and assistive technology are needed in order to facilitate communication. With the proper supports in place each child can learn, but it is at his or her own PACE.

At Pattison's Academy and Pattison's Academy for Comprehensive Education (PACE for short) we provide innovative education and rehabilitation services and improve a child's health, education, participation, and quality of life. An investment in our programs is the ultimate return on your investment because you are affecting not just one child, but a family, and your entire community. So help us SET THE PACE!

Individual Investment Levels  Be a Pattison's Pal, Raise the Roof, Spread Some Flower Power, or Green Thumb Sponsor.

Corporate Investment Levels for PACE - These levels are suggestions for investment opportunities.  The sky is the limit and this program can be geared toward your company's needs, area of interest, or community investment needs.

Invest in therapy to improve a child's health. PACE students require physical, occupational, and speech therapy, preventative healthcare, orthotic fittings, adaptive equipment management on at least a weekly basis.  PACE's model will enable students to receive much needed therapy at school and at home if needed.

Invest in a classroom to improve a child's education. PACE is the first charter school in the Lowcountry dedicated to serving children with severe and mulitple disabilities.  PACE will integrate educational and rehabilitative goals to create a sustainable hybrid system tthat effectively and efficiently addresses the needs of the whole child in order to maximize potential.

Invest in transporation to improve a child's participation. PACE students require wheel chair adapted vans or buses to gain access to the community.  Often times school is the only time a child leaves the home other than doctor or hospital appointments.  PACE students will participate in one community or therapy based field trip per week.

Invest children and improve an entire community's quality of life. PACE's education and service model could save tax payers as much as $20,000 per year per child.  That is over 600,000 for the first year of our charter school.
