Volunteer Support

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. These things can be done on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Pattison's Academy Volunteer Opportunities

• Fundraising, fundraising, fundraising!  Always Fundraising
• Newsletter design, editing
• Folding and stuffing envelopes or newsletters when we have mailings
• Special event planning
• Afterschool childcare assistants ****
• Grantwriters
• Public relations and marketing (press releases, community relations)
• We always need people to serve on our finance committee, event committee, fundraising committee, and community relations committee.

PACE Charter School Volunteer Opportunities

• Classroom assistants ****
• Administrative assistants (answering phones, assisting Director of Education and Director of Therapy with filing, copying, typing, etc).
• Special event planning
• Afterschool childcare assistants****
• Teaching assistants (taking things home to cut, paste, draw for class preparation)
• Prepare small individual items that can be frozen for meals and later reheated (items low in salt, sugar, generally healthy)
• Someone who can do laundry at the school.
• Someone who can occasionally help with fixing little things around the school such as putting wheels on equipment, hanging bulletin boards, building small items for storage.
• An electrician or someone who likes to tinker.  We need help converting regular toys into switch adapted toys.  It isn't complicated. It is just time consuming and saves us LOTS of money. 

**** Any volunteer opportunity involving contact with the children will require a SLED background check and Darkness to Light training.  These things are provided at no charge.
