Welcome to Pattison's Academy
In order to serve the approximately 4,000 children with serious functional or mental disabilities in Charleston, Dorchester, and
Berkeley counties, we are building a non-profit, private school offering team-based, year-round academics combined with pediatric therapy and
rehabilitation.
Currently, in our area, families with special needs children and children with multiple disabilities are solely dependent on public schools
and early intervention programs for services and treatment. However, some of these children need a more therapy-based approach to their care and
education.
The first of its kind
Pattison's Academy, a 501(c)(3) organization, will be the first of its kind in the Charleston, South Carolina area to provide the support and
choices that parents and special needs children want and deserve.
| Our Mission: Pattison’s Academy will improve the quality of life for children with multiple
disabilities by providing a comprehensive education and rehabilitation program in a school environment. |
We are in phase two of our four phase development plan and are working on having the school open in the Fall of 2008. During phase two
of these growth and development phases, we will conduct a summer camp for children with multiple disabilities in the Summers of 2006 and
2007.
