To infinity and beyond
Another summer has come and gone. I am so proud of our campers and staff for their resilience through the struggles that Covid-19 has brought us over the last two summers. It has been a privilege seeing the growth in each camper over the last four weeks. Although our camp looked different this year, we were able to provide an in-person camp for 39 campers!
Over the last four weeks, our campers have had the opportunity to meet new friends, play adapted sports, and witness the wonders of real-life animals. We were able to have on-site programming and go out into the community to explore. Thank you to our generous camp supporters, because of you, our children had the opportunity to participate in memorable and life-enriching activities!
Thank you to our counselors and group leaders for providing care for all of our campers and ensuring that our activities were modified to meet their needs. A huge thank you to the therapy and nursing staff that knew the specific and unique therapeutic and medical needs of our campers to help prevent regression of skill between the school year. The administrative team worked hard to plan and create a safe environment for our campers that provided engaging activities. Without the camp staff, summer camp would not be what it is today.
Thank you to the families of our campers who put your trust in us each year. We love seeing your children enter our doors with smiling faces and hate to give that last goodbye when camp closes its doors for the summer. I look forward to another summer in 2022 and seeing all of you again!
